About Us
Who We Are
The Aspen tree rarely stands alone. Its roots are interconnected beneath the surface, sharing nutrients through which a vital community of Aspen trees spring up, stand tall and reach toward the sun. This is the community we hope to grow.
The Aspen Grove School is a hands-on learning community for children ages 6 weeks – 5 years. We are open from 7:30 am to 6 pm throughout the year.
Our goal is to introduce children across the age range to learning that is substantive yet playful. Children learn to make 3 key connections - to nature, to oneself and to community. Our approach creates a foundation for children to feel emotionally safe, which is when they are able to learn best. Our instructional method teaches the way each child’s brain learns best and appreciates different strengths and learning styles. Our environment is purposefully enriched with experiences that enhance a child’s intellectual potential while celebrating this magical time of childhood.
Our program emphasizes outdoor play and time in nature for exploration and wonder and encourages children to care about each other and to build their community.
